I am a 25 year old Londoner that loves running, eating, gyming, shopping, travelling and gin! I recently ran the New York Marathon, and am signed up for the Berlin Marathon next year- aiming for sub 4!
My aim through this blog is to 'Pace the way to a healthier life, sharing training, workouts, recipes, races, reviews and my day-to-day life'!
I started writing this blog in 2010 when I was training for my first marathon, the London Marathon 2011. Unfortunately I had to pull out of the marathon that year due to injury, but I was lucky enough to have my place rolled over for the following year.
I completed my first marathon in April 2012, running alongside one of my best friends, Emily and we finished it in 4.54.59! I ran the marathon in memory of a very good friend, Vic, and raised money for MIND. I managed to raise over £4000!
I love running in races, ok I mostly love the medal, but I love the community feel of a race. You can see my Races page to read recaps of my previous races, and see my upcoming events!
I am creating a healthier life for myself by becoming more active, eating a better diet and generally looking after myself more. After running so much last year, I have ventured back to the gym (after a long break!) and have been trying a number of different classes on offer there, including Spinning, Body Pump, PowerPlates and Body Attack.
I have also tried to become more active outside of the gym including cycling, walking, skiing, kayaking....
My goals through the blog, and into 2013 are to;
- Eat a healthier diet
- Reach my target weight of 59kg, about 130lbs
- Become fitter and more active
- Teach myself to cook healthier, balanced meals
- Improve my photography
- Achieve some bucket list goals
- Do better with this year's resolutions that last years!!!
- Continue having fun with my friends living in London
